Was looking to try something new and decided randomly to come here and I definitely happy I did. From walking in we were greeted instantly with a smile. Our server Rushi was very knowledgeable about the food and gave the best recommendations. We had the butter chicken and this bread that had potatoes inside and dipping in lental soup that was game changing. I would come back just for this bread. Food was responsibly priced and the portions were huge. Drinks were on the pricey side. Overall the experience was great and Rushi was an amazing server. Forgot to add they had music playing at a perfect sound level and enjoyed the soundtrack they had on

This is one of my favorite Indian restaurants. It was my birthday and we arrived about 30 minutes before closing, but they still seated us . The hospitality was ON POINT. Rushi,Sumeshand Shubash went above and beyond to treat us with the best customer service I've experienced in a very long time. The bartender made specialty drinks for my birthday, and they NEVER fall short with the food . It is always full of flavor and cooked to perfection. For starters we ordered garlic Naan, onion Naan , rack of lamb with basmati , Masala sauce and Goat Vindaloo . All was delicious. At the end they surprised me with dessert with a huge sparkler . 10 out of 10 totally suggest you to try .

Just go! Don’t think twice. Here’s is why: We wish we lived in this area. We would have been regulars in that case. Wow!!! What an amazing dining experience. We saw the reviews at 4.9 in disbelief. We felt that this is too good to be true. Now we know that this place is simply too good!!! Small warm place with upbeat energy. They welcomed us with positive energy. Basket of roasted papad was a pleasant surprise. Three condiments (3 chutneys) were amazing. Mango lassi they have is by far the best lassi we have ever had and we love our mango lassi!!! Thickness of lassi, yogurt taste, balance of mango and sugar, perfectly cold. Taste was to die for. We ordered Masala Dosa. Great taste and fresh ingredients. Part of the dosa was slightly burnt as we found out about half way through it. They were quick to get a new one made for us. With a genuine smile. We felt bad since we had eaten some of the first one. Kottu paratha was very tasty. I have had it in Tamilnadu recently. This one was way better than what I tasted in Tamilnadu. We also had Paneer Tikka Masala. Gravy was perfect blend of spice, sweetness and creaminess. Paneer was just perfect. Not too soft, not too hard and not dry. Amazing. Our server was Binu who was the best. Rishikesh and Santosh (?) also helped out. All of them were simply brilliant. Team work was very evident. Binu understood exactly what spice level etc we were looking for and his communication with the chef is obviously too good. Portions were generous. Presentation was great. Awesome ambiance. Sumptuous meal. Price was appropriate. We parked at the Target parking lot. Very convenient. We had to get mango lassi to go as well. You will love this place!

Amazing! Simply amazing. Taj is a must for anyone wanting to try Indian food. This was our first time here and will be coming back time and time again. We have tried many other indian restaurants throughout CT and this is by far our fav! Our waiter Bindu was very hospitable and knew his way around the menu. Everything he recommended was spot on. The atmosphere here was very up lifting. Thank you for a great experience Taj!
